Cebu Nightlife Guide 2026: Mango Avenue, IT Park, Banilad and Mactan Bars With a Map

Cebu City has no single nightlife strip. A night out is spread across five areas: Mango Avenue, the old strip; IT Park, the 24-hour business district; Ayala and Cebu Business Park, for speakeasies and rooftops; Banilad and Mandaue, for the clubs; and the resorts on Mactan. This guide lists 22 bars and clubs with addresses, hours, contacts and a map, plus prices, transport and the local rules. Checked September 2026.

Bring ID even if you look older. Since June 2025, Cebu City’s liquor ordinance bars venues from serving anyone under 21, and bars must post the rule.

Mango Avenue (General Maxilom Avenue)

The old nightlife strip, now anchored by Mango Square. Grittier than the business districts; watch your phone on the street.

Cebu IT Park, Lahug and Gorordo Avenue

The 24-hour business district, with pubs on Garden Row at Ayala Malls Central Bloc and the best first-timer base.

Ayala Center Cebu and Cebu Business Park

Speakeasies, rooftop lounges and the big club, around Archbishop Reyes Avenue.

Banilad, Crossroads and Mandaue

Whisky bars, speakeasies and the hip-hop clubs, along Gov. M. Cuenco Avenue and across the city line in Mandaue.

  • Twilight Roofdeck (bai Hotel) (rooftop bar). Door charge about ₱300 including one drink. 23F bai Hotel, Mandaue. Evenings. (032) 888 2500. Directions

  • Handuraw Pizza (Subangdaku) (pizza and live music). Acoustic sets on weeknights, bands Friday–Saturday, trivia Fridays. Its only branch still open. Lopez Jaena St, Subangdaku, Mandaue. Sun–Thu 11am–12mn; Fri–Sat 11am–2am. (032) 253 8706. Directions

Mactan (Lapu-Lapu)

Mostly resort bars near the airport; there is no strip. The city is 35 to 50 minutes away.

  • Coco Pub (rooftop bar, live music). Small rooftop with live music, the best-known bar on the island away from the resorts. Rooftop, 5F’s Palace Bldg, Sitio Kadulang, Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu. From 5pm. 0905 211 2005. Find it on Google Maps

  • Ibiza Beach Club (Mövenpick) (beach club). Beach club with nightly shows at the resort. Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island, Punta Engaño. Check @ibizacebu. (032) 383 7710. Directions

Sugbo Mercado, the IT Park night food market, is moving. The old site closed around mid-2026 and the new site next to the JPMorgan Chase building in IT Park was still being set up in August 2026. Check its Facebook page before you go.

What a night costs (2026)

  • Local beer in a bar: about ₱80 to ₱150. At the Sugbo Mercado stalls: ₱60 to ₱150.

  • Cocktails: about ₱130 to ₱140 on the Harolds Hotel rooftop, ₱300 to ₱500 at the speakeasies, ₱350 to ₱500 plus a 10% service charge at Verified, ₱425 at The Social.

  • Club entry: usually ₱100 to ₱300, often with a drink included. Twilight at bai Hotel charges about ₱300 including one drink. Tables at The Sentral are ₱5,000 to ₱10,000 consumable.

  • Always ask the price first and check your bill.

Getting there and getting around

  • From Mactan–Cebu airport: the city is 13 to 15 km away. Grab costs about ₱300 to ₱500 and takes 35 to 50 minutes; pick up at the Terminal 1 arrival bays or the Terminal 2 wings. White metered taxis cost about ₱250 to ₱350 to the city, the yellow airport taxis about ₱400 to ₱550.

  • Taxi meters: ₱50 flag-down plus ₱13.50 a kilometre in Metro Cebu. A fixed price without the meter breaks the rules; insist on the meter.

  • MyBus: ₱50 from the airport to SM City Cebu, every 20 minutes from 7am to 10pm. Check the current route if you are heading to IT Park or Ayala.

  • At night: Grab is the safest way between areas. Carry small bills for taxis.

  • From Manila: fly, or take the 2GO ferry (about 24 hours; ₱2,859 to ₱8,615 depending on the berth).

Rules and safety

  • Under 21s can’t be served in Cebu City (City Ordinance 2775, June 2025). Bring ID.

  • Don’t drink on the street. In April 2026 police ticketed more than a thousand people for public drinking in one week (₱500 fines), along with smoking in public, going shirtless and videoke after 10pm.

  • Smoking is banned in enclosed public places, bars included, except in designated areas.

  • Phone snatching from passing motorbikes is reported on Mango Avenue. Keep your phone away on the street.

  • Check your bill: July 2026 reviews of one Banilad club report overcharging.

  • Sinulog: the 2027 Grand Parade is on 17 January 2027. In 2026 alcohol was banned within 300 metres of the parade route from 6am to 8pm, and the route runs along General Maxilom (Mango) Avenue, so expect closures that weekend.

  • Emergency numbers: 911 (Cebu City’s 24-hour command centre), 161 rescue, 160 fire, 166 police.

  • Every venue on this list is 18+. If anyone working or drinking in a bar looks underage, leave and report it to the 1343 Actionline against human trafficking. In an emergency, call 911.
